The Penobscot County Beekeepers Association was founded in 2013. By-Laws were adopted April 25, 2013, revised on July 20, 2015 and approved on December 10, 2015.

Our monthly meetings are held on the last Thursday of the month at 6:00 pm.  Our meetings are held at the Dysart’s on Broadway in Bangor.  Meetings will be posted on the EVENTS page where you will find information to join our meetings, live events and occasional virtual events.    

PCBA also hosts approximately five open hive meetings during the season which are held at various club members’ homes.  

Our community outreach program includes running a booth at the Harvest Festival at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor. We also do various presentations and educational events at schools as well as other venues.

In 2019 we hosted our first educational Beekeeping Symposium at the Hampden Academy, open  to all beekeepers in the state.
