Penobscot County Beekeepers Association
Our purpose:
- Promote education in matters related to bees and beekeeping.
- Assist other Associations and Chapters in promoting successful beekeeping in the state of Maine.
- Foster congeniality among the State’s beekeepers.
- Perform all other acts appropriate to a non-profit organization in serving its members.
Monthly meetings
Monthly meetings take place at the Dysart’s on Broadway in Bangor. Our April and May meetings will be held on the last Thursday of the month at 6pm. Beginning in June 2026 our meetings will be moving to WEDNESDAY evenings at 6pm. Check the Events page for topics, speakers and other information.
Open Hives
PCBA hosts open hives at member’s apiaries each year. Open hive events are a chance for members to learn beekeeping skills and techniques from other members in their hives. Dates and locations for 2026 can be found on the Events page.
Community outreach
PCBA runs a community outreach booth at the Harvest Festival at the Cross Insurance Center each fall. Members also do informational presentations for schools and community groups around the area. If you would like to have a beekeeping presentation or table at your event please contact us.
